About ProAgeing

Every Generation Living Healthier and Better.

For the first time in history, there are more older adults alive than ever before. People are living longer — but how do we make sure that means living better, not worse?

Here in Singapore, research published in The Lancet Public Health found that despite having among the world's highest life expectancy, the average person spends their last 11.2 years in poor health. We're not truly flourishing — we're just adding years.

I'm Isaiah Chng, a clinical exercise physiologist by training. For close to 20 years, it's been my life's passion to help people live longer and take their health and wellbeing to a new level — no matter how old they are — for an aspiration that matters most: to be whoever they want to be, and do whatever they love.

Along the way, I've worked on national active ageing projects with the government, partnered with multinational corporations on human resource initiatives to help mature workforces work longer and better, and gone deep into the research — collaborating with researchers and learning from leading experts around the world.

I founded ProAge, a social enterprise, in 2008 after seeing how seniors living in nursing homes suffer in silence — and observing that seniors in the community are just as disempowered to live life to the fullest. Most people I speak to want to grow old “healthy and happy”, as they put it. That dream can be realised when we're clear about our future, and stay strong, resilient, and mentally vibrant and alert — with the lifestyle habits that sustain us for the long haul.

My heart's desire is for this website to be the starting place where you find the opportunities that help you age well and thrive in your life. We all deserve that. When the time comes, I want to look back from my deathbed knowing I lived life to the fullest — in strength and vitality — and chuckle about the good old days.
